The Center for Rural Development is accepting applications for the 2019-2020 youth programs.  The Rogers Explorer program is an intensive three day, two-night program focused on cultivating skills in leadership, technology, math, science, and community service for students in the eighth grade.  Allison Cross, Community Liaison and Youth Programs Coordinator met with the eighth grade class on Monday, November 25 at the middle school to discuss the application process.  This free scholarship opportunity is available for eighth grade students currently enrolled at Lee County Middle High School.  Interested students must complete the online or paper application and essay, obtain letters of recommendation, request a student transcript, and maintain a B grade point average.  The application deadline is February 7, 2020.  For additional information, families may visit the website at centeryouthprograms.com or contact school counselor, Amy Johnson at 464-5131.
