CECILIA CAREN CONGLETON LUTES, the daughter of the late Clark and Lorena Mae Price Congleton, was born in Richmond, Kentucky on November 9, 1949 and departed this life in Edgewood, Kentucky on August 17, 2019 at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 8 days. She was a former teacher for Lee County Headstart for many years, a quality control manager for the Faurecia Automotive Seating Company, was a member of the Beattyville First Church of God and attended the Sherman Church of Christ in Dry Ridge, Kentucky for many years.

Mrs. Lutes is survived by two daughters, Cherie Pennington and husband Ricky of Glencoe, Kentucky, Sabrina Rouse and husband Rick of Dry Ridge, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Kara and Emily Pennington both of Lexington, Kentucky, Megan, Jared and Jacob Rouse all of Walton, Kentucky; her sister, Pronda Todd of Booneville, Kentucky; her brother David Congleton of Dry Ridge; her nieces and nephew, Angie Congleton, Jennifer Frolich, Matthew Congleton and Krystle Hardy; and a host of great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Lutes was preceded in death by her parents; a baby son, Herbert James Lutes; and two brothers, Gary and Dwayne Clark Congleton.
