Booneville, KY (November 14, 2019) – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was contacted on November 11, 2019 about allegations of an Owsley County High School Teacher who had sexual contact with two students.
As a result of the initial investigation, James S. Cornett, 40 years old of Beattyville was arrested at his home Wednesday night and charged with two counts of Sexual Abuse, 1st Degree. He is being lodged at the Three Forks Regional Jail in Lee County. His bond has been set for $10,000 cash and video Arraignment should be today.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP, Post 7. Detective Austin Brashear is heading the investigation.
