RICHMOND, Ky. (KT) - Kentucky State Police at the Richmond post have released the name of a man whose body was found on the side of a road in Jackson County on Sunday.

The KSP says body was discovered shortly before 10 a.m. Sunday along Rock Lick Road and take to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Frankfort. While the identity of 54-year-old Joseph Isaacs of McKee was confirmed on Monday, the cause of death has not yet been released, and the KSP is carrying the case as a death investigation.

Isaacs had been reported missing on Saturday, the day before his body was found.

KSP detectives will continue their investigation over the coming days, into what led to the death of Isaacs. Anyone who may have information regarding this investigation is asked to contact KSP Richmond Post at (859) 623-2404, or toll-free at (800) 222-5555.
