The annual “Battle of Richmond” reenactment will be 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday at Battlefield Park.
The event, sponsored by the Battle of Richmond Association, will have battle, sutlers and demonstrations, along with booths.
The reenactment will take place at 2 p.m. both days and a dance is planned for 7 p.m. Saturday.
• A replica of President Abraham Lincoln’s coffin is on display at the Pleasant View House.
• The Battle of Richmond, Kentucky was fought on Aug. 29-30, 1862, and was part of the Confederacy’s concerted effort to capture the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
The cost of admission is $10 per car.
