* The 13th annual Sag Hollow Invitational Golf Tournament is scheduled for the weekend of June 7-9 and approximately 70-80 golfers are expected to compete in the event. The festivities will tee off with an 18 hole scramble Friday, June 7 and conclude with the two day tournament Saturday and Sunday the 8th and 9th. Saturday evening following the first day of the tournament there will be a pot luck dinner for participants and their families and guests.
The entry fee for the scramble is $50 and includes 2 mulligans and refreshments. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams. There will be prizes for the closest to the pins on the par 3's, straightest drive on number 1, and longest drive on number 2. The scramble will begin at 10 am.
The tournament tee times start at 8 am Saturday. The first day's scores will determine which flights the participants play in the following day. Prizes for the winners in each flight are $500 for first place, $250 for second place, Callaway Mac Daddy wedge for third place and a dozen Titleist ProV1X golf balls for fourth place.
Entry fee for the tournament is $110 with your own cart and $130 with use of the club's rental carts.
* Darrin Gay won the Tuesday league play and pocketed $70 for his effort. Darrin shot a +3 with his handicap on the Stableford Scoring System. The team portion of the league was a tie between the team of Tony Burch and Jeff Voyles and the team of Gary Bowling and Derek Begley. Brad Mullins won the closest to the pin prize.
* Eighteen golfers played in Thursday's skins game and when all was said and done there were no winners, only ties. Everything will carry over to the next skins game Thursday, May 30th.
