The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was notified just before 10:00 am on Sunday, November 03rd, 2019 after a possible body was located off of Rock Lick Road. The initial investigation indicated, an unidentified body has been recovered after being found near the side of the road.
The Jackson County coroner confirmed that a body was found in a remote area of Jackson County. According to the coroner, the body was discovered at the bottom of a cliff off Rock Lick Creek Road. Kentucky State Police and additional detectives investigated the scene. They said a passerby saw the body with a blanket on top of it and called law enforcement. Officials have not said how the person died or if foul play is suspected. Initially they reported that the gender and identification of the individual could not be determined based on the state the body was found in. An autopsy was performed on Monday November 04th at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort. As a result of the autopsy, the human remains have been identified as Joseph Isaacs, 54 years old of McKee, KY., who was reported missing on November 2, 2019.
