Berea police arrested a Jackson County man for second-degree rape (no force) after a 13-year-old told officers he had sex with her on May 11 in a church parking lot on Reed Hill in Berea, KY.
Officers met with Michael Granillo, 19, of McKee, KY last Wednesday afternoon and interviewed him at the Berea Police Department, according to a citation. Granillo said he had arranged to meet with the victim, and his intent in doing so was to have a sexual relationship with the 13-year-old.
Granillo admitted to having sex with the victim in his vehicle parked at the church, the citation states.
Granillo was booked into the Madison County Detention Center but has subsequently been released awaiting his next court appearance.
