Loretta Madden, 80 of Buncomb Rd., Tyner, KY and departed this world Thursday August 29, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Hospital.
Loretta was born in Clay County, KY on August 2, 1939 to the late Eva (Moore) and Johnnie Gross.
Loretta is survived by two sons: Vick Madden and wife Delana of Bunbomb Rd. and David Madden and wife Michelle of Sextons Creek.
She is also survived by three granddaughters: Leighanna Hensley and husband James of Burning Springs, Tiffany Danielle York and husband Chris of Cartersville, Ga. And Emily Grace Madden of Sextons Creek and by one great grandchild, Tayden Scott York of Cartersville, GA. Loretta’s grandchildren adored their beloved Nanny.
She is further survived by two sisters: Zola Brewster and husband the late Jerome Brewster and Dessie Metcalf and husband Forest Dale; 5 neices; 4 nephews, and a community of friends and family that she always welcomed, loved and treated as her own children.
In addition to her parents Loretta is preceded in death by the following: her partner of almost 40 years, Ronald Lee Metcalf; brothers and sisters; Billy, Charlie, Preston, Robert and Mary Gross; Nephew: Dewayne Brewster; and ex-husband and father of her children, Denver Lee Madden.
Loretta Madden loved nothing more than her sons and grandchildren and spending time with them. She was a hard worker who loved to weed eat her farm, work in her flower beds, work in the tobacco fields, baking biscuits, and she loved her animals. Loretta Madden was a great blessing to the family and community, and she will be missed terribly.
