Timothy Lee Wood, 56, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away peacefully Thursday July 16, 2020 after a long illness due to diabetes and congestive heart failure. Tim was born in Lexington, Kentucky in 1964. He moved to Cape Coral, Florida in 1969. Tim graduated from Cypress Lake High School. He worked many years as a private investigator.
Survivors include his daughters Nina Wood of Cape Coral and Teal Moncurer-Moseley, of St. Augustine, Florida, parents John and Jean Wood of Cape Coral, brother Tony (Kim) Wood of Atlanta, GA, nieces; Kelsey (Lee) Grander and children Wyatt and Asher of Chicago, ILL., Justin Wood and children Emma and McKenna of Atlanta and Kalyn Wood of Atlanta, Aunt Beverly Jarvis and cousin Mark Thomas Nagorka of Cape Coral, and Uncle Donald Centers of Atlanta, Ga.
Tim’s greatest pride was his daughter Nina. He fought very hard to live to her graduate from high school and go to college. Tim loved life and lived it on his terms, he was the love of his parents and daughters life. He will live always in their hearts until they meet again.
Funeral services were held Thursday 11:00 A.M. July 23. 2020 at Lakes Funeral Home with brother Brian Gabbard officiating with burial in the T.M. Lakes Cemetery in Sand Gap, Ky.
