Jack T. Brown, age 89, of Jackson, KY passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019, at the Wolfe County Nursing Home in Campton, KY.-He was born February 2, 1930, in Jackson, KY and was the son of the late Edgar and Naomi (Engle) Brown.- He was also preceded in death by one daughter: Kathy M. Barnett-One brother: James M Brown; One niece: Rebecca Lee Brown; One great-grandson: Sawyer Kash McClees. -Jack was a devoted member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Jackson.- A United States Army Veteran of Korean War.- Former Jackson City Police Chief; Former sheriff of Breathitt County; Retired Social Worker and Special Investigator for Natural Resources Unit.-He is survived by his wife: Ellen (Noble) Brown of Jackson, KY-Four daughters: Jackie Brown (Ed Burnette) Duncan of Jackson, KY; Susan (Jeff) Noble of Jackson, KY-Lisa (Larry) Noble of Campton,KY; Leslie (Glen) Griffith of Bethany, KY.-One sister: Dana Cole of Jackson, KY; One brother: Eddie (Patty) Brown of Hazard, KY; One nephew: Tony Cole of Jackson, KY-Son-in-law: Bobby Barnett of Jackson, KY.-Eleven grandchildren: Gene F. Duncan; Robbie (Jessica) Duncan; Beth Howard, Kellie Neace; Parker McClees; Justin McClees, Christopher (Robin) McClees; Julia Ellen (Michael) Johnson: Zachary Griffith, Hannah Griffith and Rachel Griffith.-Fifteen great grandchildren.-Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Jonathan Clemens officiating.-Burial in the Jackson Cemetery.-Visitation will begin on Saturday at 6:00 p.m.-Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
