Lillie Maude (Smith) Slone, age 71, of Jackson, Ky., passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Ky. She was born September 29, 1947 in Perry County, Ky., and was the daughter of the late Billy and May (Stidham) Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles “Ned” Slone and one daughter: April Farler.
She is survived by five daughters: Tammy (Clyde) Miller of Hazard, Ky.; Judy (Buddy) Griffith of Buckhorn, Ky.; Wanda (Krouc) Noble of Haddix, Ky.; Erica (Justin) Haddix of Lost Creek, Ky.; Kristy (William) Noble of Jackson, Ky.; one son: Michael (Tabbi) Slone of Russellville, Ky.; one sister: Carol Bowling of Gays Creek, Ky.; three brothers: Donnie Smith of Krypton, Ky.; Billy Ray Smith of Booneville, Ky.; Dale Smith of Gays Creek, Ky. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and many special friends at the Nim Henson Geriatric Center.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Altro Church of God, Altro, Ky., with Chris Turner and Phillip Swartzentruber officiating. Burial in the Smith and Stidham Cemetery, Gays Creek, Ky. Visitation at the church on Friday at 5 p.m. with additional services at 7 p.m. Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
