Sally L. Deaton, age 70, of Altro, Ky., and a former resident of Nim Henson Nursing Home in Jackson, Ky., for over eight years, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019 at the Wolfe County Nursing Home. She was born April 22, 1949 in Breathitt County and was the daughter of the late Charlie and Hazel (McIntosh) Deaton. She was a member of the Altro Church of God. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Elhannon Deaton, JR.; one daughter: Crystal Jackson; two sisters: Joyce Partin and Nellie Grace Deaton; three brothers: J.M. Deaton, Gran Deaton, and Delbert Deaton.
She is survived by one daughter: Shannon (Elvis) Noble of Campton, Ky.; five sisters: Louise Herald and Ruby (Warren) Henson of Talbert, Ky.; Lula Herald of Jackson, Ky.; Juanita Raliegh of Whick, Ky.; Dora Mae (Lewis) Barrett of Scottsburg, IN; one son-in-law: Anthony Jackson; two sisters-in-law: Vanda McIntosh and Shirley Deaton; three grandchildren: Jacob (Rebekah) Noble, Adrianna Noble and Damian Jackson; one great grand-daughter: Harlow Fox Noble. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Turner, Jamie McIntosh and Bobby Hollon officiating. Burial in the Jackson Cemetery, Jackson, Ky. Visitation on Friday at 5 p.m. with additional services at 7 p.m. Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers: family and friends.
