At 12:53 AM on 11/28/2019 City Of Manchester Fire Department was dispatched by Clay County 911 to mutual aid Burning Springs Fire Department on a Commercial Structure Fire at Chads Hope. Upon arrival of Manchester Engine 7 & Ladder 1 there was heavy smoke throughout the building with several hot spots. Units immediately began to work along with Burning Springs Fire Department to find and extinguish any hot spots. With further investigations there was a small attic fire around the chimney where the fire began. Units made access to the roof where they cut a ventilation hole as close as possible to the seat of the fire to make access to the attic space and extinguish it. All personnel assisted in clean up before All units then cleared the scene with no further incident.
While on scene at this Fire, Emergency Personnel were notified of a Motor Vehicle accident on the Hal-Rogers parkway around Urban Creek Road which was unable to be located before units made it to the scene.
We would personally like to thank Burning Springs Fire Department for all the awesome teamwork put forth tonight to overall save the building. Also would like to say good job on the initial fire knock down.
