One of three Clay County men charged in a 2018 drug ring was sentenced in federal court at London.
Henry Hall, a.k.a. “Hee Haw”, 61, of Manchester, appeared before Judge Robert E. Weir recently.
Hall entered guilty pleas to conspiracy to distribute Alprazolam and other controlled substances; possession with the intent to distribute a quantity of pills containing Alprazolam and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
He was given five months on the first two counts each and 48 months on the third count of having a firearm during a drug trafficking crime. The counts are to run consecutively for a total of 53 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release. Hall also forfeited $317,638.00 in U.S. currency in his arrest.
Ricky “Chico” Melton, 60, of Collins Fork Road, and Jeffrey “Bub” Ghent, 29, of South Highway 421, are also accused in the crime and have pending court dates on guilty pleas entered in the case.
