SOMERSET – The Clay County Lady Tigers put on a wonderful showing at the 2019 Girls Regional Tournament. The Lady Tigers would bring home a 3rd place finish, along with two state qualifiers after it was all said and done. “I don’t have words to describe how proud I am of this team,” said Lady Tiger coach Amy Janutolo. “We were starting new last year, and this year we finished 3rd with our two qualifiers. We are already expecting bigger and better results for next year!”

Elivia Marcum led Clay with a 92, qualifying for state. Avery Janutolo qualified with a 95. Taylor Messer and Hallie Hooker each fired a 107, while Adyson Hooker rounded out Clay with a 135. Janutolo is the 2nd middle school golfer in CCHS girls golf history to make it to the state tournament, along with former Lady Tiger and Miss Golf Bailey Hubbard.
