The Clay County Tigers (6-0) are currently ranked #4 in the state of Kentucky. The defending 13thregion champs are not only defeating opponents, but are completely demoralizing them. Clay has outscored opponents 67-9 this season, and now are aiming their sights toward a dominant spring break effort. This week, Clay will compete in three games in the “Where’s the Beach Classic” in Rockcastle County, then wrap it up with Middlesboro on the road.

Somerset – The Briar Jumpers (2-5) rank near the bottom of the pack in an always tough 12thregion. Currently riding a two-game win streak, they will face a red-hot Clay County squad looking to continue their dominance. Somerset, presumably will be better than their record shows. This game is at Rockcastle County, Friday, April 5th. First pitch is set for 9:15PM.

McCreary Central – The Raiders (1-6) fell victim to the vicious Tiger offensive attack earlier this season, losing in Manchester 13-3 in 5 innings to Clay. No opponent should be overlooked, but this may be just the matchup Clay needs before what should be a hard-fought game with Rockcastle County. Expect Clay to handle their business accordingly. This game is at Rockcastle County, Saturday, April 6th. First pitch is set for 1:30PM.

Rockcastle County – The Rockets (7-3) are ranked 14thin the state and boy oh boy will this be a good test for the Tigers. Rockcastle has followed the same script as Clay: dominating their opponents. This game is at Rockcastle County, Saturday, April 6th. First pitch is set for 5:00PM.

Middlesboro – The Yellow Jackets (4-2) are a dark-horse team in the 13thregion to be a serious contender. The ‘Boro can score, and score in a hurry. They’ve pushed across 70 runs this season, outscoring Clay by 3 on the year. Expect a cage match between these two. This game is at Middlesboro High School, Monday, April 8th.
