The Clay County Tiger basketball team has accepted invitations for two of the top basketball tournaments in the state for next season.

According to Tiger coach Glenn Gray, the school will be participating in the King of the Bluegrass Invitational and the WYMT Mountain Classic.

"We are one of four at-large bids offered to only the top teams in the state for the King of the Bluegrass Tournament," Gray said.  "It will be a tough challenge for our team, but it's one we are looking forward too."

The Tigers will also return to the Mountain Classic as the defending champions.

"The Mountain Classic and the Tiger basketball program go hand-in-hand," Gray said on the long history between the school and the tournament.  "This is a tournament we love being in and will do our best to defend our title."

Gray has his entire team returning next season and some have them predicted as the top team in the 13th region and a top 10 team in the state of Kentucky.
