After a disappointing loss to Mason County, the Tigers will attempt to bounce back against the Lynn Camp Wildcats (2-1). Lynn Camp will be in revenge mode, as they recently fell to Middlesboro in a 28-27 loss at home in overtime. The Tigers feel as if they gave one away with turnovers and miscommunication. This game should be a slobber knocker from start to finish.
Clay has the tall task of stopping Tylen Smith, the talented sophomore quarterback for the Wildcats. Averaging 74.0ypg through the air, Smith is backed up by a strong running back committee led by Chase Brown. Brown stomps his way to a 105.3ypg average and has put up four touchdowns thus far. Brown is joined by Jayden Dunn and Tylen Smith in the run game, as they each have combined for 5 TD’s and 200+ yards in rushing on the year.
Coach Sizemore and Co. know they have their hands full with Brown, but the Wildcats will have to step up their run defense to slow down the Clay rushing attack. Clay is led by Chandler Hibbard, who averages just above 275ypg. Hibbard is the leading rusher in the state of Kentucky and should give the Wildcats fits on Friday night.
This contest is at Lynn Camp High School, Friday, September 13th. Kickoff is set for 7:30PM. Good luck, Tigers!
