The Clay County Tigers and Lady Tigers will once again participate in the 33rdWYMT Mountain Classic beginning Monday, December 9that Knott County Central High School.

The tournament will mark the 29thappearance by the Tigers as they have an all-time record of 49-25 with 10 tournament titles. 

Joining Clay from the 13thregion will be the Harlan Green Dragons and the Knox Central Panthers.  Clay defeated Knox Central last year in the championship game.

They will be joined by the Hazard Bulldogs, Knott County Patriots, Martin County Cardinals, Phelps Hornets and Pike Central Hawks.

The Lady Tigers finished runner-up in last year’s event falling to South Laurel.  Both will be back in this year’s field along with the Floyd Central Jaguars, Hazard Lady Bulldogs, Pike Central Lady Hawks and Shelby Valley Lady Cats.

Pairings will be set in the future by WYMT.
