Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Detective Daniel Grigsby along with Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested David Asher age 43 of O and W Ln., London on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at approximately 3:30 PM. The arrest occurred in London following an investigation conducted by the Laurel County Sheriff’s office regarding the reported theft of a utility trailer valued at approximately $2500 reportedly taken from a property off London Dock Road approximately 15 miles west of London on March 21, 2019. Information was developed on suspects and information was developed on the possible location of the reported stolen utility trailer which was located and recovered in East Bernstadt. David Asher was charged with theft by unlawful taking $500 or more but under $10,000. He was lodged in the Laurel County detention center.
A warrant has been obtained for a second suspect allegedly involved in the theft and has been identified as Bryan Winsberry who will also be charged with theft when he is located.
