The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet today announced that the city of Barbourville will receive $7,000 in County Road Aid emergency funds. These funds will be used for a resurfacing project on Sycamore Drive (CS 1071) located from KY 459 (mile point 0.540), extending south to the end of Sycamore Drive (mile point 0.697), while making it safer for cars, school buses, and other vehicles that rely upon this highway.

“The Bevin administration is committed to the Cabinet’s mission of providing a safe, reliable transportation network for all Kentuckians,” said Transportation Secretary Greg Thomas.  “These emergency funds will help local governments repair and restore damaged infrastructure throughout their communities.”

The city of Barbourville is responsible for administering the work.
