Hospital holds Pray for Appalachia Day

Appalachian Regional Healthcare hosted a “Pray for Appalachia Day” on Friday, September 10, at noon to lift spirits as Covid-19 resurges across the nation.  Volunteer chaplains from Barbourville ARH, (Bro. Jimmy Siler, Bro. John Bill Prichard, and Bro. Leonard Lester), lead the prayer time for team members and patients.  Bro. David Barnard prayed for our Appalachian people and communities.  Many ARH employees and community members joined in to lift their voices to God for healing, strength, comfort, and guidance. Charles Lovell, Barbourville ARH CEO, thanked all in attendance.  Sam Stacy, Director of Chaplain Service with ARH Hospitals, was quoted as saying, “We believe that the only way we are going to get through this is through God’s help, and God’s help is only going to be gotten through prayer.  We can lift these healthcare workers up and be there when they’re in their need.”
