Graphic for Knox County Veterans Drawing Contest

The Knox County Veterans are inviting a local student to design their official seal.

The drawing contest is open to all students and the winning design will be used for the Veteran group’s official seal, pin, and other documents and materials.  The requirements of the design are that it must include the American flag, have a patriotic theme, be circular in size (on 8.5 x 11) and represent Veterans / Military.

Attention to detail is important in the design. The seal may be used for something as small as 1″ in diameter or as large as a sign.  Linked is a sample circle on 8.5 x 11 that can be printed and used for the design.   On the back corner the following information should be included:  Student’s name, school, grade, and a home telephone number.  The design side of the sheet should not contain any student information or additional text outside of the circle.

Teachers may collect designs from students, students may turn in their entry at each school’s front office, or at the Knox County Board of Education.  The deadline for entry is May 1, 2019.

Entries will be on display at a local business where customers will get to vote for their favorite design.  A decision will be made in May on the winning entry.
