The Barbourville Woman’s Study Club is kicking off the holidays with a Christmas wreath-making workshop called “Deck the Halls, Y’all!” on December 5 through December 7. The event is set to take place at the First Christian Church Community Room on 201 High Street in Barbourville.

“I encourage everyone to come out to make a beautiful Christmas wreath for your home or for a friend,” said Woman’s Study Club President Claudia Greenwood. “Your wreath may turn out so beautiful you might want to make more than one!”

Greenwood explained this event is to raise money for a local scholarship to Union College, to add visual improvements to downtown Barbourville (such as plants and flowers), and provide donations to local causes.

“This is the first time this type of event has been available in our town,” Greenwood added, “Come on out and enjoy wreath-making, good company, Christmas music, and even some holiday treats!“

Pre-registered wreath makers can buy a $30 ticket for a 10” natural wreath or a $40 ticket for a 12” natural wreath. Participants may buy a ticket at the Lillian June Boutique or pre-register online at Space is limited to 12 people per session.
