A London man was killed in a single vehicle collision in Barbourville on Friday. According to Kentucky State Police Master Trooper, Shane Jacobs, “On July 5, 2019 at approximately 1:36 p.m. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a call from Knox County 911 of a single vehicle collision on Ky 459 in the Barbourville community of Knox County.”

A London man was killed in a single vehicle collision in Barbourville on Friday.

According to Kentucky State Police Master Trooper, Shane Jacobs, “On July 5, 2019 at approximately 1:36 p.m. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a call from Knox County 911 of a single vehicle collision on Ky 459 in the Barbourville community of Knox County.”

“Tpr. Kelly Farris responded to the scene and began an investigation,” he stated in press release on Sunday.

“Preliminary investigation indicates Jeremiah Jackson (22) of London Ky, was traveling south on Ky 459 while operating a 2015 Dodge Challenger,” he continued.

 “Mr. Jackson crossed the center line entering the north bound lane, then left the roadway striking a tree on the driver side of the vehicle. Mr. Jackson was taken to Barbourville ARH by Knox County EMS where he was pronounced deceased,” stated Jacobs.

He concluded, “Trooper Kelly Farris is continuing the investigation.”
