According to Knox County Police Department, Deputies Mikey Ashurst and Hunter Luttrell were dispatched in pursuit of a stolen vehicle complaint on Friday morning, May 17 at 4:15 a.m.
Reportedly, Heather Hembree, 39 of Barbourville, rented a 2018 Chevy Malibu in Jefferson County on Saturday, February 9 and failed to return the vehicle. Therefore, the vehicle was tracked down by On Star and detected at the Best Western in Barbourville.
According to deputies, when they found Hembree, she became combative.
Hembree was arrested on a Jefferson County Arrest Warrant for Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition-Auto. She was also charged with Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance, Disorderly Conduct, Menacing, Terroristic Threatening and Resisting Arrest.
She was lodged at the Knox County Detention Center.
