A stolen septic tank truck has been located and a Heidrick man is in custody.

The stolen truck, first reported missing on Wednesday, October 2, was located in a barn off of Ruben Ridge Road in East Bernstadt in Laurel County. A report led the Knox  County Sheriff’s Office to the location on Friday, where Sheriff Mike Smith and Sgt. Carl Frith discovered the truck.

Sheriff Smith located and arrested Barrett L. Sizemore, 48 of Heidrick, at a residence off of Taylor School Road in Laurel County, approximately two-tenths of a mile from where the truck was found. Earlier Friday, the Sheriff’s Office posted photos of Sizemore as a suspect wanted in the theft.

Sizemore is charged with theft by unlawful taking over $500 or more, but under $10,000.

Sizemore was transported and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center where he remains on a $10,000 cash bond.
