Trooper, Easter Bunny visit elementary school

Kentucky State Trooper Shane Jacobs and the Easter Bunny paid a visit to Central Elementary last Thursday. The day was used to kick off a campaign on child abuse awareness.
The pair paid a visit to all of the school’s preschool, kindergarten, and first grade students. Jacobs read the children a story about kindness and all of the children were given a pinwheel symbolizing child abuse awareness.
The students were also given Easter treat bags from the family resource center and a plastic egg from Texas Roadhouse containing a voucher for a free meal. “It was so nice to see the kids have such a wonderful, almost normal day,” said Resource Center Director Susie Prichard.
