Christmas time is finally here in Barbourville! Which means this week is filled with Christmas cheer as the community gathers ‘round to celebrate the holiday season.
You and a friend can enjoy the magic of Christmas and “Deck the Halls” with the Barbourville Woman’s Study Club’s Christmas wreath-making workshop this week from December 5 to December 7. The event will take place at the First Christian Church Community Room.
Celebrate the holiday season with the Christmas Bazaar at the “Old Rock Gym” on Knox Middle School’s campus on December 6 and December 7. You can find all the arts, crafts, and homemade baked goods you will need to make your home feel warm and cozy for Christmas.
Walk into a winter wonderland and stand in awe of all the glistening Christmas lights as Barbourville celebrates the annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday night, December 6 at 6 p.m. at the Knox County Courthouse.
Santa Claus is coming to town!
Kids and parents alike can enjoy a fun morning at the Knox County Cooperative Extension Office with pancakes and pictures with Santa on Saturday, December 7 starting at 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Also on Saturday, December 7, the annual ‘I Believe in Santa Claus’ Parade will make its way through Barbourville beginning at 6 p.m. There will be cash prizes and trophies awarded to the top three floats.
Following the parade, Union College will be hosting a Christmas Festival Concert at Conway Boatman Chapel on Union College’s campus at 8 p.m.
