Bytha Lee Elliott Smith Lefevers, 84 of Kettle Island passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Tri-State Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Harrogate. She was born in Jenson on July 23, 1935 and was a daughter of Charles Dewey and Lucy Messer Elliott. Bytha was a believer of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker and had been a store clerk.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilburn Carl Smith and her second husband, Charlie Lefevers; grandchildren, Roxanne Brock, Carollee Harris, Angel Marie Bruner, Timothy Smith, and Philip Jeffrey Watts; great-grandson, James Matthew Watts; sisters, Brenda K. Lawson and Mildred June Doolen and her husband, Renus; and a son-in-law, Philip Watts, Jr.

Survivors include her children, Linda Brock and her husband, Walter, Carl Smith and his wife, Shelia, Eddie Smith and his wife, Shirley, Vickie Watts, Johnny Smith and his wife Linda and a special great-granddaughter she had raised as her own child, Laken Savannah Watts; grandchildren, Wilburn Brock, Carla Latham, Brandon Smith, Travis Smith, Kevin Watts, John Tom Garnett, Janie Smith and James Smith; great-grandchildren, Philip Michael Bruner, Dakota Harris, Sydney Izabelle Watts, Logan Smith, Ethan Smith, Zarahan Latham, Lexi Brock, and Rodney Brock; brothers and sisters, Joyce Ilena Bicknell and husband, Ernie, Charles Elliott and wife, Kaye, and Larry Elliott; special friend, Audrey Taylor; and a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 21 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Bishop Custer Watts. Burial will follow in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
