In celebration of being named one of 12 'Educational Bright Spots' in the state of Kentucky, the entire student body of Pineville Independnent donned sunglasses and posed together for a group pictured on the football field last Friday
Pineville Independent was one of 12 Educational Bright Spots identified by Michael Childress of UK’s Center for Business and Economic Research. In his report, Childress took data from all 173 school districts across the state and identified the 12 districts in the state whose performance most exceeded expectations. The research was based on KPREP scores and ACT scores, along with student enrollment and demographics.
"I want to make sure our students and our staff understand how much I appreciate their efforts and how much the community appreciates their efforts," Pineville Superintendent Russell Thompson said. "This recognizes them for doing a great job and I hope they can continue to strive to achieve excellence here.”
