Well y’all Thanksgiving has finally arrived, and I hope the recipes I have shared this month have helped you create a warm home with all kinds of yummy smells and delicious food for your family to enjoy. Today, I wanted to share one final recipe that the last minute person may be able to run out and get the ingredients for. This is also great to have throughout the entire holiday season, so if your reading this after Thanksgiving, feel free to take it to your Christmas or New Year’s parties as well. If you’re not the best cook in the world you’re going to love me for this one, because it doesn’t get any easier!

Apple Dump Cake

Ingredients: Two cans of apple pie feeling, ½ a cup of caramel topping, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1 box of yellow cake mix, 2 sticks of melted butter.

Instructions:  Begin by preheating the oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9 by 12 baking dish. To the dish add the two cans of apple pie filling. On top of the apple pie filling drizzle half a cup of caramel topping.(The caramel topping is the same thing as caramel sauce that you would warm up to put on ice cream, not caramel chips.) Sprinkle the cinnamon on top of the caramel. Next add the box of cake mix on top of the caramel and cinnamon. Melt the two sticks of butter in a glass liquid measuring cup to make it easier to pour. As the last layer of your apple dump cake, pour the butter evenly over top of the cake mix. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 45 minutes or until the top has become golden and crunchy. It’s as simple as that! Let stand for 5 minutes and serve with a big spoonful of vanilla ice cream. I assure you everyone will love this dish, and it’s one of my favorites because it’s a no fuss type of thing. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
