Phyllis Ann Widener, 72, of Wallsend, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the Southeastern Kentucky Medical Center.  She was born in Pineville on June 21, 1946 a daughter of the late Lee Warren and Emmie Mills Warren Bain. She was a believer in the Pentecostal Faith and had been a homemaker.  Phyllis loved her family more than anything.  She was a prayerful woman who loved talking to the Lord.  She said, “When her feet touched the floor the devil ran!” 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Doyal Widener, children, Sherry Widener and Doyal Widener, Jr.; granddaughter, Seiarah Widener and great-grandchild, Terry Wayne Doyal Widener, Jr; brothers and sisters, Pamela Hensley, Edward Gillis Warren, Wayne Bain, Marshall Bain and Kim Warren.

Survivors include her children, Veronica Gail and Bill Davidson, Terry Wayne and Kathy Widener, Kathy Lynn and Thurston North, Melissa Kay Widener, Jamie and Lillie Widener, Jason Curtis and Kristie Widener, daughter-in-law, Mary Widener; grandchildren, Rebecca (Wayne) Wilder, Bobbi (Virgil) Tuttle, Kelly York, Amanda Widener, Phyllis (Mark) Scroggy, Jonathon Widener, Courtney North, Austin Widener, Peyton Widener, Morgan Widener, Madison Widener, McKenzie Widener, Makenzie Spanski, Jonathan Slone and Timmy Slone; host of great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Penny Warren Payne, Barbara Landers, Debra Price, Timmy Bain, Tammy Bain, Dennis Bain, Ricky Bain, Lee Warren, Jr. and Preston Bain and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Polly and Rev. Wilkie Saylor.  Music  by Theda Polly.  Burial will be in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens, Pineville.  Pallbearers are Terry Widener, Jamie Widener, Mark Scroggy, Jason Widener, Eddie Payne, Virgil Tuttle and Jonathan Slone. 

The family received friends on Sunday from 6 until 9 PM at the Arnett and Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Widener family.  Light a candle of remembrance and sign the guest register at
