Next week, Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College will offer a series of open house events welcoming members of the community to four of its campuses.
“Now that we have returned to fully in-person services, we want to share what we have to offer,” said Dr. Rebecca Johnson, who serves as vice president of student affairs as well as director of the Middlesboro and Pineville campuses.
From 12:00-4:00 p.m. each day, the events will be held as follows:
• Monday, August 2, Harlan Campus
• Tuesday, August 3, Middlesboro Campus
• Thursday, August 5, Cumberland Campus
• Friday, August 6, Whitesburg Campus
According to organizers, these sessions will include something for the entire family, including educational program information, student services, campus tours, food, giveaways, and fun activities for the kids. Although the Pineville Campus will not have an official open house, employees will be available to offer information and guided tours for those who are interested. The Knox Campus in Barbourville is scheduled to open its doors in spring 2022.
“Whether you are interested in a career in health care, a high-skilled manufacturing credential, or a general education degree that will transfer to a four-year institution, we offer a high-quality, low-cost education right here in your own backyard,” said Dr. Johnson. “At Southeast, we truly have something for everyone.”
